hi there!
omg,so i[and all the other sec4s and 5 seniors] had step down.
it feels so fake, but its so true.
thanks to all of you[sec 1s,2s and 3s juniors] for contributing to the GUZHENG SHIRTS.
OMG. that was so sweet.
:)
and well,i have to end this post soon.
this is the last post that is gonna be contributed by me, and will be updated by the next chairman!
so...
have fun in guzheng.
do your best for all your performances and well, most importantly, the SYF next year!
try to get a gold.
it's good to get a gold. But it's also the process that you all need to enjoy.
At the end of the day, you all will realize the importance of having the company of each other.
That's like how we did right! like today.
I realize the importance of having you gals and guys around. It's all of you who brought the laughter, joy and fun into our lives. Without whom, guzheng will just be like any other ordinary CCA. I can't explain any further using just words, like what you all said today.
I can only say I appreciate all of your efforts and the support that you all had given me.
Thanks for everything!

The Instrument
Guzheng, otherwise known as Zither, is a plucked string instrument.
In fact, the guzheng is one of the most ancient Chinese musical instruments that recorded in
written documents in the Qin dynasty(about 220 BC).
Gu Zheng consist of a special wooden sound body with 21-25 strings arched across movable bridges along the length of the instrument for the purpose of tuning.
Tuning:
The pitch of a given string is determined by the position of the bridge.
Traditionally, pentatonic scale is used. The instrumentalist plucks the strings with the
right hand and touches the strings with the left hand to produce the desired pitch
and create subtle tones and ornaments.
Techniques:
Guzheng player attaches a little plectrum (nails) on each finger using a special tape.
The instrumentalist uses three fingers of the right hand for plucking whereas the left hand
pressing the string from the other side of the bridge to create special tonalities and ornaments a
nd the thumb for the left hand.
